Foreword

Several months ago, my life buckled out from under me sending me off into the depths of pain like I had never experienced before. One early morning on August 1, 2009, my husband asked for a divorce and left. Out of my God awful misery came the greatest gift I had ever been given. But I didn’t know it until several weeks later. For three days, I couldn’t eat or sleep. I paced. I couldn’t cry, nor was I able to see anyone. I felt as if my world had tumbled down into pieces of pain. It was the oddest experience I had ever felt because my mind was fine, but my body went into shock. A few weeks later, I woke up with a glow in my heart and a smile on my face. Things began happening in my life that made me realize I had been given a wonderful gift. The freedom that I experienced was filled with amazing new discoveries. People were entering my life like I had never experienced before. I got offers to participate in groups, programs, books, seminars and discussions that filled my soul and spirit with love and made me happier than I had ever been in my entire life. This book is about how to make your life better by your own thoughts. I truly believe our thoughts control what happens in our life. I am writing this book to open doors for you to see that you make your own happiness. As you read each page you will learn how you can have gladness in your life, even when it comes crashing down on you. I had often been told in my life that your greatest misery is where you find your greatest happiness. This book has been written to show you that this is a true statement. I brought in two friends; JoAnn Kite and Charlotte Huston-Johnson to write stories and poems because they are of like mind and over the years we’ve shared conversations on the power of thought. For years we’ve thought about writing a book; this book has become our reality. JoAnn is not only a scholar when it comes to books and writing, she is my dear friend. Charlotte, I’ve known for over twenty years and we’ve been friends since. Her creativity is the best I’ve encountered. She is a free spirit who has a warm and loving spirit that has always impressed me. She has great insight in the power of thought; experienced it and lives it. Pattimari
