INTRODUCTION

The Global Resonance Network is an internet project combining cocreativity and activism, developing new insights into collective spirituality and the ideal human future.

The project is emerging in the context of the Interspirit network system, which supports a wide array of interfaith and new consciousness groups around the world. In part, our work is motivated as a response to global crisis in a wide variety of interdependent areas, and in part as a call to the full and sacred realization of highest human potential.

Through the Resonance Network, we are bringing together writers and artists and visionaries, who are entering into our "resonant field" (a collaborative energy field of harmony and friendship), presenting their own work, and engaging the work of other members, in ways that support the co-creative objectives of the project. Working and creating together, we are pushing towards the emergence of a new and transformative world view -- a "new paradigm" -- that combines into one workable framework a wide variety of contributing elements that today tend to exist in relative isolation from one another.

Our work is emerging in the context of a broad global movement, driven by many factors, and involving the perspectives and insights of millions of people around the world -- who feel that new approaches and solutions are needed, and who find themselves instinctively drawn into a co-creative process tending towards a kind of simple universal idealism.

The fundamental objective of this work is the development of solutions and methods that can help the human community through our current difficult and dangerous period of transition, and into a new world of brilliance, understanding and grace.

Unfolding the Design - Creating a Plan

As this project continues to unfold, it seems that one immediate objective is a clear definition of a plan and design that can support and guide our work together. We need an overview of this entire project, listing and reviewing its many elements, and showing how they can possibly work together.

We want to be able to explain our work to others in the world, and we want a shared statement and vision of what we are doing. We have a sense of what we are accomplishing, and a larger vision of where we are going. We are bringing together the most potent and essential elements and ideas, from all across the spectrum of human understanding, knowledge and wisdom.

We want to be able to say

  • this is what we are doing
  • this is why are we doing it, and what we expect to accomplish
  • here is a path of action that we are following, and you too are invited to participate in this process in your own way
This co-creative process combines design and action, theory and practise, vision and development. We are saying that there are problems in the world which we believe can be addressed and solved. We propose to address these problems, and take on these various tasks, bringing these related elements together, into a single program and project -- into the context of a single vision and shared understanding.

In our work together, we are designing a solution -- and we are taking the steps necessary to actualize that solution.

An Integral Vision

In simplest terms, the objective of the project is to bring all of life and all of civilization into a single "resonant field" -- one fabulously complex interconnected harmonic process that combines all the major aspects of life, at all levels of life - from the individual to the group to the nation to the world -- doing this in ways that bring out the best qualities in every person involved, and unfold the fullest potential of our civilization.

In broadest terms, the objective is to combine all the critical elements of life into a single framework, in a form that reflects and embodies a kind of primal or divine ontology -- showing how all of these elements can be brought together in a natural way, and indicating how human life and the large objectives of civilization can be understood within a single holistic and all-inclusive framework.

An Integral model, combining into one framework

  • Deep spirituality and universal religion -- What are these things, how are they validated, how do they relate to traditional sectarian religion, what are the social and spiritual forces driving the emergence of these new possibilities?
  • Politics and applied democracy -- How can social and political groups (including nations and civilizations) make the best possible collective decisions to guide their collective future? How can contending forces be balanced?
  • Science and epistemology -- What is the role of scientific method? How does computer science contribute to our understanding and capacity? How can we incorporate cognitive science, theory of categories and description, theory of models and information structure, foundations of mathematics, semantics and conceptual structure?
  • Network science and technology -- How can the emerging horsepower and technology of the internet be harnessed into an integral framework to support this conjunction? How can we build an actual network to bring this ideal network potential into reality?
We are proposing to unfold the conjunction of these elements through a single integral context, "all at the same time", showing the relationships between each of these "parts", how they work, how they are interconnected, how they come together, and how and why all of this points towards a highly desirable and brilliant collective human future.

A stunning and transformative integration

We believe that there is a kind of scientific (or spiritual) revolution waiting to happen. We are supposing that there is a pending conjunction of forces -- combining "east and west", "religion and science", "feminine and masculine", "right brain and left brain", and indeed, in a new and liberating way, "spirituality and politics". New technologies, new methods, new ways of understanding, are influencing all of these contributing elements at the same time.

Thus, we are witnessing the emergence of powerful new ideas in religion and spirituality -- as the core elements of deep mysticism are clarified and simplified, and presented as a common foundation for all traditions, and an experience more or less shared by all traditions.

A profound simplification

Out of the One -- emerges everything

A politics of The One

  • Context
  • Integration of elements
  • Guidance and optimization of collective decisions

Unfolding the process - steps along the way

More or less, we are anticipating an unfolding process that combines these elements, in about this way

  • Create an internet framework (web site and network) that can support the various objectives of this project
  • Attract writers and designers and co-workers, who want to be involved with other workers in a cooperative/co-creative process, and who are inspired to bring their best ideas into this framework
  • Continue to clarify the objectives and methods and visions emerging from this project. What can we do, how could this work conceivably impact the world, what will it take to be successful?
  • Begin to expand the sphere and radius of this conversation; attract and involve more writers, attract representatives from other organizations
  • Begin to explore connections and liaison with other groups and projects, working in related areas. Can we collaborate? Can we support one another? Can we inspire one another? In what ways does it make sense to consider ourselves involved in "one network"?

Primary Dimensions of an Integral Design:
Spirit - Religion - Science - Politics - Networks - Community

These 6 elements represent critical aspects of human life, and phases of our existence that are often thought of as separate and distinct, only indirectly related to one another. In the context of the Resonance Network, and in the context of a fully integral design, all these elements come together, into a single context, within a single framework, held in unity through a primal ontology arising in the sacred ground of being.

In our work, we do not exclude any of these elements. While we recognize that it is normal and natural for human beings to specialize in some areas, and thus be more attracted to particular areas in this broader range, our project accepts this human diversity, and yet brings these elements together, as they must be.

Today, in our fragmented world, we tend to assume, for many reasons, that these categories of experience should properly be kept separate -- and thus, there is very often no direct linkage or connection between these six major elements. In the USA, for example, we attempt to strictly separate religion and politics. The areas of "science" and "religion" are thought by many persons to be opposites, or having no relationship or connection. The concept of "community" is only indirectly connected to the concept of networks -- though networks directly support the cohesion and strength of community. Networks are not directly related to politics, but instead tend to be ad hoc grass-roots processes organized in a minimal way.

In the context of our work here, are are proposing a single integral scheme, that positions these elements in a defined and reasonable relationship to one another, showing their connections in an abstract philosophic way, and actually supporting these connecting through physical network designs (web sites, databases, communication systems).

Good morning -- happy new year.... Just want to comment on your remarks, Dr. Fischer. Thanks, as always.
RESONANCE is and happens when people globally, finally and jointly share the same co-ordinate system of HUMANITY.
I want to agree with this -- though, for me, the wording is a little broad. I am not sure exactly what this means. Maybe this wording cou . . . [see all]

Dear Bruce - I perfectly understand and I am definitely in support of a Plan for Action. Without real action regarding our joint vision this vision won't ever come true. A first step into this direction is to join forces and to gain momentum.

Here within our context of RESONANCE it is helpful to understand what RESONANCE is so we can more easily communicate with others on the subject. Withou . . . [see all]

Hi Wolfgang. Thanks for your deeply humane presence and instincts... You know -- I am pushing this thing constantly towards "action" -- towards a clean, simple, direct action agenda. Things we can do.... Today, I think I could just reduce the entire thing to one idea: build a network. Build a network ...and... hook it together in essentially resonant ways ...and then... ho . . . Hi Bruce, thanks for these guidelines.

Yes, we want to invite to communicate beyond any given traditional lines. We want to talk about what moves, hurts or enjoys all of us, equally deep inside, no matter where we come from. We want to develop fully human potential.

We want to blossom into humanity.

That is why in regard to the mentioned six elements people who are engaged with . . . [see all]

Hi. This is just a start on a broader introduction -- but let's make this co-creative. If you got a minute, scan through this document -- just notes at the moment, but it's starting to take shape -- and add your suggestions. The basic idea is
  • We are gathering everything that should be included
  • We have a design and scheme for how these elements can come together (co-creativit . . . [see all]
