How I Feel Inside a Resonant Field

Imagine....
... a place where all people are valued for their unique gifts.
... a place where the possibility exists that each individual is seen, respected, and honored as an authentic being.
... a field where “wholeness, synergy & coherence ” are expected outcomes.
... the opportunity of being received by others, free of any preconceived notions.
... if speaking your truth was the natural way to communicate.
... being witnessed as your essential self.
... a place where diverse ideas are transformed into harmony.
... a place of such palpable spaciousness that all hearts can come into entrainment or alignment with others.
... an environment of deep listening where “not knowing” is the crucial piece that creates safety and trust.
... a place where love is the link between people.
... contributing to the evolution of humanity and global consciousness simply by participating in a field of resonance.
... a place where reverence for life and the interconnectedness of all things is the sacred, grounding principle....

Islands of Resonance

The vision that often comes to me is that we who choose to do so, are arising like islands in a sea of unconsciousness, each of us meeting our own personal edge of the unknown. (edit note: "edge" is like the shore of the sea)

And as we arise, the sea is also becoming clearer, affected by the growing clarity of each individual, so that one day every island, no matter how small or buried beneath the sea, will “see” the interconnectedness of all the islands and rejoice at our Oneness.

To continue the metaphor, those of us islands that gather together in intention to inspire ourselves awake, create an amplified field of resonance shifting ourselves and the sea at a far greater pace than any one individual could. The impulse toward clarity and unity in the individual, being met in the intention of a collective, becomes a powerful alignment with the Great Creative Principle Itself.

And from an evolutionary perspective, we in Santa Barbara consider that humanity in the collective is indeed creating something new…. The newness is arising in every heart, in every community, in every organization simultaneously because it is a quantum phenomenon, evolutionary, nonlinear, fractal in scientific terms. It is also a spiritual phenomenon because it is beyond words, beyond duality, deeply into the realization of Beingness, and the unity of the many in the One.

However, caught in the beliefs of traditions, this newness within is often still interpreted in "us versus them" terms. The feeling of "alignment with God" is used in service of beliefs and separation from other, rather than as the call to Oneness that it really is.

What is this newness? I believe, following Sri Aurobindo’s idea of the supramental, that it may be a maturation of the human mind, where like the multicellular body, our individual "minds" come to know themselves as cells in a larger mental body of awareness, exquisitely “tuned in” to the larger “body” and completely aligned to the interests of the whole. In the process each participating body/mind also becomes whole, completely alive to possibility, and passionate to cocreate with others of like purpose, his/her piece of a new order upon the earth.

And the immediate question for us all is: What is the frequency/note (s) of resonance that will maximally unfold this evolution that is upon us?

The intention to evolve has been the “note” carrying the Santa Barbara community forward, but this may only orchestrate one “organ” in the emerging body of humanity (not necessarily insignificant when amplified in the collective). Perhaps, “conscious evolution” is one of the notes playing right now in the improvisatory piece, following such notes as “love they neighbor” and “know thyself”, or participating in majestic chords, along with “peace” and “diversity in unity”.

What is clear to me is that the Internet, with such conversations as ours crossing all boundaries, is a vehicle for the transmission of the resonance, that may begin to tune each of us to the calls arising within us, like the islands in the sea, deeply interconnected as One body, but not immediately apparent.
